An activity is the schedulable work unit of a project. It describes a task or deliverable with date range, duration, effort, resource demand, and progress.

Usage¶
Activities are the basis for scheduling, resource demand, capacity balancing, and variance analysis. An activity should be specific enough to be controlled and broad enough to avoid unnecessary micro-planning.
Planning Logic¶
Depending on the selected planning mode, duration, effort, or both can be kept fixed. Rillsoft Project calculates the dependent values by considering resources and calendars.
