Goal

Make sure that target/actual comparison uses the correct reference status and contains current actual data.

Baseline

  • A baseline is saved.

  • The correct baseline is selected.

  • If several planning statuses exist, it is clear whether a normal or dynamic baseline is used.

  • The baseline was not overwritten accidentally afterwards.

Add baseline name

Actual Data

  • Progress is maintained for started tasks.

  • Completed tasks have 100 percent progress.

  • Actual effort is entered if effort should be evaluated.

  • Actual start or finish dates are maintained where relevant.

Cutoff Date

  • The cutoff date is set.

  • The cutoff date matches the status report.

  • Progress data was updated for the cutoff date.

Evaluation

  • Schedule deviations are checked.

  • Effort deviations are checked.

  • Cost deviations are checked.

  • Critical deviations are documented with cause and corrective action.
